Massage Work History
Ama is currently accepting new clients into her private practice, which she opened in 2002. She occasionally does massage and leads massage workshops for Camp Tawonga's various Weekend and Family Camps, including "Grief and Growing," (2003-present).
Since 2003, Ama has teamed up with Amy Kahn to run "Amy and Ama's Almost Famous Traveling Northern California Retreat Series" combining the enjoyment of urban get-aways with yoga and massage workshops, hot tub soaking, and group-building activities. They are available to help you plan private workshops and group retreats.
She has also worked for medical oncologist, Dr. Garrett Smith, in his Golden Gate Center for Integrative Cancer Care (2004-2006), as a referral for UCSF OB/L&D for pregnant women on bed-rest (2005), for two chiropractors, Dr. Rabbonni Tacusalme in his practice Axis Chiropractic and Dr. Chris Amore as a referral, for Yoga Tree as a sub MT (2004-2005), and for 2 day-spas, Therapeia and Sunset Sauna and Massage (2003-2004).

Personal
Ama began to walk, ski, swim and do gymnastics all at about the same young age of 3. Years of playing soccer and ultimate frisbee have confirmed her love affair with competitive team sports and the joys of small group interaction.
While in college she re-connected with conscious movement through dance, especially as it relates with sound and breath. Since graduating, she has dabbled in boxing and yoga, was a physical education teacher, an after-school counselor and the site-director for the YMCA at Argonne Elemantary School, and she has been a counselor, wilderness leader and team-builder for children and teens at Trail Blazer Camps and at Camp Tawonga.
She loves the natural wonders of the great outdoors, hiking, plunging in the ocean (brrr!), music, dancing, sharing, learning, eating and having fun with friends.
